Potassium bifluoride
Jinxing Fluorides Chemical
Molecular weight: 78.1
Molecular formula: KHF2
Detailed Introduction
Molecular formula: KHF2
CAS NO: 7789-29-9
Molecular weight: 78.10
Property: White crystalline, slightly acid smell. Soluble in water, soluble in potassium acetate, insoluble in ethanol, the aqueous solution is acidic. It does not lose hydrogen fluoride in dry air, but absorbs water and releases hydrogen fluoride in humid air. When heated to 310 ℃, hydrogen fluoride begins to escape, and at 400 ℃, the vapor pressure of hydrogen fluoride can reach 1 atmosphere. The activity of molten potassium biscarbonate is greater than that of potassium fluoride; it is a double crystal compound. Toxic.
