Property: white crystalline powder, toxic, soluble in water, decomposes into sodium fluoride and hydrogen fluoride when heated, insoluble in ethanol, aqueous solution can corrode glass. It has a strong acid smell, absorbs water and releases hydrogen fluoride in moist air. At high temperatures, aluminum or aluminum alloys have corrosion resistance to sodium hydrogenfluoride.
